VeloDyne Systems bulk bag unloading systems are designed to discharge dry bulk solids and powders into a material feed train, mix tank, or bulk transfer system. Each bulk bag system can be designed using various industry standard material sizes, and provided in carbon steel that is painted or powder-coated for longevity. Bulk Bag systems are also available in stainless steel construction for the most demanding applications including food grade. Innovative designs provide bulk bag systems that meet the most demanding applications including height restrictions and can be provided in a two-piece or three-piece configurations. As a stand-alone unit, the bulk bag feed system can be equipped as a full discharge unit or integrated with product batching features. The bulk bag systems can also be designed as a loss in weight system with integrated load cells or in conjunction with a volumetric feeder. Our bulk bag designs feature various levels of automation to meets the customers’ application including fork truck lifting mounts or hoist-and-trolley systems to automate your material handling process. A variety of bulk bag product conditioning options can be designed into the bulk bag frames, to facilitate product discharge. VeloDyne’s bulk bag frames can be designed with dust collector attachment points, as required by the application to minimize airborne particles.
Factory testing on all of our systems. These tests include: – Pressure testing all pipes and valves – Hydrostatic testing of our mix tanks – Complete sequencing of all devices, including motors and solenoids – All inspected by a VeloDyne quality assurance inspector • VeloDyne provides the most complete containerized systems on the market, ultimately saving time for the contractor and eliminating frustrating installation issues. • VeloDyne System’s service and technical support staff are the most experienced in the industry.
VeloDyne approaches each application from the proper storage of chemical to the most efficient way to inject the chemical into the process, and everything in between. From tanks, mixers, level controls, drum and tote mixing and handling equipment to spare parts.
The VeloDyne’s Lime Detention Slaker is a fully automated lime system consistently producing lime slurry ranging from 5% to 25% by weight. Lime and water are fed into the slaking chamber where they are mixed by a vertical mixer. The lime slaker operator selects a desired temperature set point; the slaking water modulating valve will automatically adjust to maintain the desired temperature. The lime slurry overflows through the slaking chamber to the grit removal trough, where the large particles settle out and are removed from the process by way of an auger.
Polymer-particle wetting is the first step in optimizing hydration and activation of dry polymer. With this in mind, we developed systems that disperse and atomize the dry polymer before introducing it into the wetting chamber. This approach minimizes the time it takes for hydration and limits the potential for shear damage from extended exposure to mechanical mixing. The ProBatch™ direct wetting bowl technology is recommended for applications up to 5#/hour of dry polymer. The HydraMax™ shower type wetting technology is recommended for applications up to 2000# per hour.
VeloDyne's MAKO High Density Lime (HDL) systems are used in a variety of municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment processes. Our technology reduces scaling in pipes and maintenance of equipment common with standard lime slurry systems.
VeloDyne’s Flexible Conveyor uses a helix screw designed to handle both free-flowing and non-free-flowing materials without separation or degradation. Advanced features allow for optimized bulk solids handling. We equip our conveyors with direct-drive motors to promote reliability through the use of less-wear items. The only moving part of the Flexible Conveyor is the contact screw, designed to propel bulk solids consistently while self-centering in the tube. The unique movement of the flexible screw allows for ample clearance in the tube, eliminating binding, grinding, or crushing of your bulk solids materials ranging from micro-powders to pellets. Finished product blends will not separate and starting or stopping the Flexible Conveyor will be bind free. A variety of options and configurations provide the most process-friendly conveyor in the industry and integrates with other VeloDyne System components for a complete material transferring solution.
VeloDyne has been providing custom liquid chemical feed systems to the municipal and industrial markets for the last 16 years. Our uniquely packaged chemical feed solutions can accommodate any preferred selection of pumps. This includes the design and manufacturing of bulk storage tanks, truck unloading stations, day tanks, transfer pump skids, metering pump skids, controls, and all associated equipment. This approach ensures single-source responsibility and minimizes the coordination required of multiple vendors making for a clean and reliable liquid chemical feed system installation backed by decades of experience and expertise.
Our bulk solids systems division has been engineering and supplying silo systems for over thirty years. Our unique two-piece design allows us to completely build and perform full factory functional testing of the equipment room and chemical processing systems, delivering a product that drastically reduces installation and commissioning time.
VeloDyne’s small bag systems are designed for low to medium feed rate applications and are able to store 25 to 75 pounds of dry material. Each bag dump station is available with multiple discharge options based on your product characteristics and level of system integration. In municipal and industrial waste and water treatment applications in neutralization and PH control, heavy metal removal, taste/odor control, and disinfection the manual bag system is a great solution for handling lime, PAC, and soda ash. In the bulk solids industry, the manual bag systems can handle manual introduction of products ranging from powders to grains to pellets. With self-contained dust control, the small bag system is perfect for batching systems or direct product injection lines. We utilize an integrated grate to protect the rest of the process from pieces of the bags binding the system. A variety of options and configurations provide the most process-friendly manual bag system in the industry.
VeloDyne’s trough conveyor is designed to handle free-flowing powders, grains, and pellets without separation or degradation. Advanced features allow for optimized bulk solids handling. We equip our trough conveyors with direct-drive motors to promote reliability through the use of less-wear items. The trough conveyor channels product quickly with easy access to components for cleaning. The flexibility of configuration allows for horizontal or incline applications with a variety of auger sizes and trough lengths to choose from. A variety of options and configurations provide the most process-friendly trough conveyors in the industry and integrates with other VeloDyne System components for a complete material transferring solution.
VeloDyne’s tube conveyor is a screw-driven solid tube designed to handle both free-flowing and non-free-flowing products, from powders to pellets to flakes and chips with advanced features to optimize bulk solids handling without separation or degradation. Our auger conveyors are reliable and feature fewer wear items with the use of a direct-drive motor and gearbox assembly. The tube conveyor can convey your product horizontally and at a graduated angle to meet the prescribed discharge needs of even the most demanding environments. The tube conveyor is standard with easy auger change-out and customized mounting clamps for any application. A variety of options and configurations provide the most process-friendly tube conveyor in the industry and integrates with other VeloDyne Systems components for a complete solution.
The feeder is the heart of our systems. As a stand-alone component, a properly sized feeder can meter a specified amount of product into a finished package. As an integral part of a system, the same properly sized feeder can meter minor ingredients to a food batching system, lime or polymer into an environmental water system or chemicals into a fertilizer blend.
